Duke HomeCare & Hospice nurses can profoundly and positively affect the lives of their patients, with unmatched patient care services that include:

  • Hospice care for terminally ill patients in their home, or at skilled-nursing or assisted-living facilities, as well as at our six-bed inpatient facility in Hillsborough, North Carolina
  • Home health services are available to patients who are homebound and in need of nursing services and/or physical therapy, speech therapy, or occupational therapy
  • Infusion services provided at home or at work for individuals who need intravenous therapy

In addition to our facilities in the Triangle area, Duke HomeCare & Hospice also provides opportunities for compassionate, patient-focused nurses and health care professionals in a variety of locations across the state, region and nation, including:

  • Home Health and Hospice Services: Orange, Durham, Granville, Wake, Person, Chatham, Alamance and Vance counties, all within North Carolina

Patients admitted to the hospice program are seeking palliative care and symptom management at the end of life, and include patients with terminal illnesses of all types. The patients may be based in their home or the home of a loved one, or they may reside in a facility. Hospice patients admitted into the inpatient facility are typically experiencing an acute crisis that requires 24/7 care.

The Duke Hospice Wake County office is a satellite office conveniently located on the Duke Health Raleigh Hospital campus, serving hospice patients in the Wake County region. The patients may be based in their home or the home of a loved one, or they may reside in a facility.
