The General Medicine/Stroke Center Unit at Duke Regional Hospital is comprised of a 40-bed Medical Unit. Our team is active in delivering exemplary care for each patient to ensure an excellent patient experience, every time.

Work Hours & Shifts:
PRN - scheduled as needed 7p

Job Summary:

The Nursing Assistant performs a variety of nonprofessional nursing duties in the direct care of patients under the direct supervision of an RN/LPN to include: prepare patients, equipment and supplies for specific procedures and provide manual assistance as required, obtains and records patient data for medical records noting and informing RN/LPN of information collected; administer treatment and personal care procedures to patients including, but not limited to, feeding, bathing, shaving, changing clothing, cleaning and trimming fingernails, bed-making, assisting with ambulation, enemas, skin care, and bowel and bladder elimination; provide such additional care as required to meet the personal needs and comfort of assigned patients.
Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience Required:

· Previous work experience as a Nursing Assistant preferred.

Licensure, Certification or Registration Required:

· Current certification as with the North Carolina NA Registry required.
· BLS (or higher) certification required.
